I am trying to lose weight but I also love Katsudon. For me to remain in a deficit I need to eat less than 1800 calories a day. I hit the gym early in the morning putting in a solid 45 minutes on the treadmill at a 14.5 incline at a 2.7mph pace. Did some weights after that and cooled off with some stretching. Went home had breakfast: Gyoza(3), 100g rice, hard boiled egg, pickled veg and miso soup. Was great. I am lucky I have a wife who is such a great cook.
Got some work done in the middle of the day. Around 5pm my wife and I walked over to Tonkatsu Sakazaki. They are having a grand opening special and had huge Katsudon bowls for $10. Food was great. The pork was really soft. I could cut it with my chopsticks. The restaurant was nice and the staff was very attentive. Highly recommended.
I ended up logging the meal at 1450 calories and my breakfast was logged at 500. Given me slightly over the total calories per day but when the gym workout calorie burn estimate was logged at 250 keeping me in my deficit for the day.
